The seating of the theatre was enveloped in a blanket of dust and darkness, insignificant to the simplistic grandeur of the the stage. The stage itself was draped with long, heavy, deep crimson curtains, untidily tucked into bundles at the base and hung at the sides, with old, wooden crates stacked and pushed together in messy piles to the rear. A single, lonely chair of maple and maroon cushion sat at the front of the stage.
